Fridge Art Fair Miami: WALK-IN-FRIDGE
This event has passed.
From December 3 to 8, the Fridge Art Fair’s WALK-IN FRIDGE takes over The One50 Hotel with an immersive art experience celebrating the legacy of Freddie Mercury and the resilient symbolism of the flamingo. As part of Fridge Does Freddie: The Freddie Mercury Project: Featuring the Return of the Flamingo, this venue invites guests to step “inside” the art through interactive installations, performances and workshops inspired by themes of freedom, diversity and community.
Set in the One50 Hotel, known for its blend of contemporary design and Art Deco charm, the WALK-IN FRIDGE offers visitors a creative escape just steps from Miami’s beaches and cultural landmarks. The hotel’s modern amenities and dynamic location provide an ideal backdrop for this engaging art experience. The exhibition launches with The Show Must Go On VIP Opening Preview on Wednesday, December 4, from 7 to 10 p.m., with public viewing from December 3 to 8 (11 a.m. to 9 p.m.)
While the MINI-FRIDGE at the LGBT Visitor Center serves as the anchor venue, the WALK-IN FRIDGE is one of four unique locations showcasing dynamic exhibitions and collaborative projects curated by David Craig Ellis, Jean Blackwell Font, Eric Ginsburg, Kaitlin Martin and David Waage. Together, these spaces embody the fair’s innovative approach to celebrating artistic expression and inclusivity.
