Love Letter to Ndebele Women
This event has passed.
Experience a culturally rich exhibition honoring the artistic traditions and craftsmanship of southern African women artists. Love Letter to Ndebele Women runs March 8-9 at 70 NE 40th St.
This exhibition pays tribute to over 100 women from the Ndebele tribe whose skilled hands, cultural heritage and personal stories contributed to Pearl Jam, the 2025 Design Commission by Nicole Moyo. Through their intricate beadwork, these talented artists have created pieces that communicate narratives of identity and belonging, preserving and extending a cultural legacy that has been carefully passed down through generations.
The exhibition offers visitors a chance to appreciate the artistic techniques and cultural significance of Ndebele beadwork while recognizing the individual and collective contributions of these women artists to contemporary design conversations.
