This year's New Year's festivities start on Friday, December 27, and continue through Wednesday, January 1, during which Ocean Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic and transformed into a pedestrian-only thoroughfare.
From December 27 to January 1, Ocean Drive will host an exciting series of events, including live music, wellness activities and the region’s longest-running New Year’s Eve fireworks display. The festivities kick off with health and wellness programs in Lummus Park, where visitors can join yoga sessions, enjoy muscle beach equipment and participate in programs designed to energize the body and mind for the year ahead. On Sunday, The French Horn Collective will perform at 5 p.m., blending swing, gypsy jazz and world music in a free concert under the stars, as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series
As New Year's Eve approaches, enjoy festive entertainment, special menus at local restaurants and the excitement building up for the midnight fireworks. The signature Ocean Drive Fireworks will light up the sky on December 31, marking the perfect start to 2025. On New Year’s Day, the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival will present a full orchestra concert, featuring celebrated singers to kick off the new year with cultural flair.
